True Burner is a simple and lightweight software tool that allows you to burn data CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs with ease. The program helps you manage multisession discs, create bootable discs, and select their file systems (e.g., ISO-9660 or UDF). Besides, this new version of the program supports selecting the burning speed and allows you to burn large files (over 2GB in size).
The program offers a very simple user interface whose visual design could be widely enhanced and modernized. When you create a new burning job, the program allows you to select the burning drive and speed, type a title for your disc, and select the target file system and its version or level (depending on the system selected). Besides, if you are planning to create a bootable disc, you can also specify the path for the boot image. Now you can start adding your source files. However, the only way to achieve this, that I could find, was by copying and pasting the files, as the program does not support drag-and-drop, and its "Add files" button simply launches the standard Windows Explorer.
Finally, the program comes with few additional functions, like re-writable disc erasing, disc and file information display, file/folder removal, and folder creation. The program webpage claims that it can create MP3 discs and video DVDs; however, it does not include any specific interface or function for these purposes. Rather, you can merely add your MP3 files or DVD folder(s) as source files and the program will burn them just like any other standard data disc. more
